Privacy & cookies

This notice explains enquiries and browsing on the VRS hardware website, and how VRS uses information for hardware orders. The managed shop also has provider-specific privacy and cookie information. Choosing essential only here does not change your settings on the shop.

Who is responsible?

VRS COMPUTING LTD, company no. 11087313, is responsible for its use of customer and enquiry information. Contact info@vrscomputing.co.uk or 01282 421033, or write to Coal Clough House, Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, England, BB11 4NJ.

Information and purposes

Enquiring does not subscribe you to marketing. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information or confidential documents in an initial hardware enquiry.

Who receives information?

We share the details necessary for the task with providers handling website/email services, commerce, payment, delivery or authorised support. TD SYNNEX fulfils hardware directly and receives the delivery information needed for your order. A courier or manufacturer may need information for delivery or an agreed warranty claim. Payment-provider handling is explained at the relevant payment step. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Optional YouTube videos connect your browser to Google/YouTube only after you allow optional videos and request playback. Google/YouTube then handles information under its own privacy terms. Google privacy information ↗

International processing

Some third-party services, including Google/YouTube, may process information outside the UK. Where VRS makes a restricted transfer, applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, using an adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards as required. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry or order.

How long information is kept

Enquiry correspondence is kept while needed to respond, follow up a requested quotation and resolve related questions. Order, accounting, warranty and complaint records are retained according to applicable legal obligations, the relevant warranty or claim period, and whether an unresolved matter requires the record. We review whether information is still needed rather than keeping it indefinitely for unrelated purposes. Contact us if you need the retention criteria for a particular record.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you have an unconditional right to object to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To object or exercise a right, email info@vrscomputing.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity proportionately. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office ↗. Please also let us know so we can try to resolve the concern.

You do not have to provide enquiry information, but we cannot answer without a return contact or fulfil an order without necessary order and delivery details. The hardware chooser is guidance, not a solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects.

What these main-site pages use

Use to change your choice at any time. Essential only removes any active YouTube player on these pages and blocks further players unless you choose otherwise. It cannot undo information already sent to a third party or remove that third party’s existing cookies; you can manage those through your browser and the provider. If browser storage is blocked, preferences may apply only to the current page.

For the shop, use its own cookie controls. This main-site notice does not certify the managed shop’s current cookie inventory or consent implementation.
